I ordered 2 large pizzas. Both well done, a side of Fries and Mac Bites…this is what i received for the pizza.. wth is this… i paid $64.09 and $10 tip for cold soggy pizza. Looks like a child cut this without looking
This was, without question, one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a restaurant.
I originally tried to place my order by calling the restaurant directly, but the employee who answered the phone was unbelievably slow and had no sense of urgency. Rather than continue wasting time, I decided to place my order through Uber Eats instead.
After waiting two hours with absolutely no update, I called the restaurant and told them I no longer wanted the order. I was told I had to contact Uber Eats, so I assumed my food was still being prepared or delivered.
Thirty minutes later, I called again to find out where my order was. This time I was told that the restaurant had canceled it. I never canceled the order through Uber Eats, so that explanation made no sense. If the restaurant canceled the order, they also had the ability to ensure I was refunded.
When I contacted Uber Eats, I was told the restaurant had marked the order as delivered. That is completely false. I never received my food.
What makes this experience so unacceptable isn’t just the delay—it’s the complete lack of accountability. I received conflicting stories, no communication, no food, and was left fighting to get my money back. A business that reports an order as delivered when the customer never received it is failing at the most basic level of customer service.
I will never order from this restaurant again, and I strongly encourage others to think twice before spending their money here. There are plenty of restaurants that value their customers, communicate honestly, and take responsibility when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, this is not one of them.
Truly so sad to write this because DaCoopas was - WAS - so good. Recommended it to a friend ordering for a group dinner and we got pizzas, tenders, wings, and mozz sticks. The apps were like… arena food that came frozen and just got heated up. The pizza was solidly mid. Not at all like the incredible pizza DaCoopas used to sell, and it’s been like this the past few orders… I won’t return and won’t recommend it to friends again because I really want to highlight the best of Eastie. Super sad.
Was excited to try this place after Dave Portnoys review. However it seems I didnt get a pizza with that regard. Look at the sag, half the pizza immediately just falls off into a pasta down below.
I got the crispy dacoopa combo, $28 on uber eats (pickup), $24 in store (note if youre doing pickup).
But yeah, seems East Boston just doesnt have good pizza. Santarpios sadly did the same for me, seems like trips to NYC will be the only place I dont buy frozen pizza.
2nd time here! Absolutely LOVE the honey garlic tenders! Staff are friendly and quick with service! 10/10 recommend their food.
