Ernesto's Pizza was amazing, first time in Boston with the family and we wanted to try an authentic Boston pizza, so we went near Little Italy, I found this gem from an old Facebook post, someone was asking where the best pizza place was in Boston, and the top comment from a Boston resident said ERNESTO'S, we tried slices of the pepperoni, sausage and peppers, a cheese pizza and margarita, and a pineapple.
You have got to try it. If I ever come back to Boston, this is my go to for pizza 🍕.
In the words of Banya from Seinfeld, "It's the best Jerry, the best!"
We stopped by after hearing so many great reviews and were excited to try Ernesto's, but it didn't quite live up to the hype for us. The pizza itself was just average, and the biggest issue was the crust—it was noticeably undercooked and doughy. Both the cheese and pepperoni slice and the vegetable slice had the same problem.
To be fair, we only tried individual slices and did not try their specialty whole pizzas, particularly the eggplant Parmesan pizza, which seems to be one of their signature offerings. If it's your first visit, it may be worth knowing their specialties before ordering by the slice.
The service was fine, and I can see why people like the casual, hole-in-the-wall atmosphere, but based on our experience, it wasn't a memorable meal. If you're in the area and want to give it a try, go for it, but I wouldn't consider it a must-visit pizza spot in Boston.
One thing to keep in mind is that seating inside is very limited and can get crowded, so there may be a wait for a table. If that's the case, I'd recommend ordering takeout and enjoying your pizza at one of the nearby parks instead.
Well. 250th Pizza review. 1 of 8 on my Pizza Porn Scale. Nothing is even average on this pizza. My namesake let me down. Horrid I will not waste words on this pie. The 1 is a gimme as it's in the North End of Boston. Call it a gift. Keep walking. This is not the pie to try.
Cute little place. Really good pizza! Sauce makes a big difference in pizza and their sauce was amazing. Cheese was so good. Perfect crust. My family and a I loved it!
Ernesto’s Pizza is a gem in Boston’s North End! The pizza was excellent, with huge, satisfying slices that are perfect for a hearty meal. Located right in the heart of the historic neighborhood, it’s a great spot to grab a slice while exploring Delicious pizza in a prime location!
