After doing the Freedom Trail walking tour we found ourselves in the North End Little Italy area. We asked our guide for some suggestions and he mentioned Ernesto’s and that they sell by the slice if you want. He warned us that their slice was huge. We walked up to this very tiny spot on Salem St that had one huge bay window that was wide open. There are only 15-20 seats in this place. You walk up to the counter and they have Pizzas on display to choose from. We ordered a slice of sausage and two orange fountain sodas. Their one slice is actually 2 slices. It took only a couple of minutes to be ready and it was piping hot. We were lucky to find one tiny table in the corner. Pizza smelled amazing so I dug it. Amazing flavor. It’s not exactly NY slice thin but just a little thicker. Sauce, Cheese, Crust, and Sausage all on point. The orange soda was a great compliment. I had my wife try and she liked it so much she almost ate half of it. If this place was anywhere near me I would be in big trouble. Loved the pizza, location, and atmosphere. It’s for sure a must try. We saw a lot of folks taking whole Pizza’s to go.
Stopped here walking by for some pizza. The slices are huge, two pizza slices make up one big slice. Lots of different pizza options available. Being able to order by the slice, instead of having to buy a whole pizza is very nice. I really enjoyed the cheese and the pepperoni pizza we got.
Ernesto’s Pizza, Salem Street.
Lightning fast slice of pizza. If you are on the run or need a quick fix, stop in. Good choice for a quick slice.
Tiny and compact dining area.
Slices are enormous!
Order a pie if you want a custom creation.
Was visiting Boston saw a sign for the biggest pizza slices so went in. There was a good selection of pizza. I chose the sausage and peppers. Fast service. Pizza was box as requested. Nice atmosphere but not a lot of seating. Great in a pinch. Friendly staff.
Having just came from NYC, I thought 8.50 for a slice was a little pricey.
However, it was a damn good slice. I’m not a crust person at all, but this crust was killer.
Also the ricotta was an excellent complement to this slice, I highly reccomend this particular type of slice if you come.
