I ordered a pepperoni pie from Gary’s via Uber Eats, fully expecting the usual delivery drop-off in quality.
Didn’t happen.
This thing showed up hot, the cheese still perfectly melted, and the pepperoni cups crisped up with those little pools of grease that you actually want. The crust held its structure, not floppy, not cardboard. Even after the ride over, it still had that out of the oven feel.
The sauce had a nice balance, slightly sweet but not sugary, and the cheese pull was legit. You can tell this isn’t just late-night drunk pizza. It’s good pizza.
If it tastes this good through delivery, I can only imagine how it hits straight from the counter.
Oh my. The food is SOO good! I got a slice of pepperoni and a slice of the margarita pizza and my friend got the chicken parm sub. We were both blown away. There aren’t that many places that serve Roman pizza let alone GREAT Roman pizza. Nice and crispy with so much flavor. A+
AMAZING PIZZA & the kindest staff! This place is so good and fresh and definitely made with love. This is also my official request to keep the mushroom slice on the menu forever because it’s the best mushroom pizza I’ve ever had! Every single time I’ve come in to get my order the place is so clean and the staff are always warm and informative about ingredients menu items. Will keep supporting this place because they are doing more than a few things right in here. The price it self may seem intimidating to those used to a $3 slice but this ain’t cardboard and cheese, these are fresh artisanal slices made with fresh ingredients and you can tell someone is thoughtfully curating item pairings for a variety of patrons, even those that are used to a $3 slice. This place is awesome and if you give it a try I don’t think you’ll regret it.
Have ordered delivery lunch a few times and the pizza is great! Crust is crusty, yet airy. Pepperoni is MEATY. Sauce is zesty. Very filling.
I don’t remember how the pizza tasted in Italy since it has been years, so I didn’t expect this pizza to unlock a memory from that trip. The crust was perfectly crispy and airy, and each slice had a distinct flavor. The salt-cured egg yolk on the Green Asparagus in particular was interesting—there wasn’t much, but the amount that was there added an impactful dimension to the flavor.
My main critique is that the pizza was very salty. It definitely got to be too much after the first slice. I wondered if it was an off batch, but the cookies in the ice cream sandwich were also overwhelmingly salty (the house-made vanilla bean gelato was delicious, though!). I saw a review claiming the pizza to be too sweet, so maybe the feedback had been taken too far in the other direction.
Regardless, 5/5 because it was a pleasant dinner overall, and service was very friendly.
