Ordered the eggplant sandwich. Disappointment does not begin to capture my experience. I received a dry hero with brown lettuce, old pieces (not slices) of tomato, and soggy seasonless eggplant that was likely a month old. There is no spread on this sandwich- no hummus, olive oil, nothing. This was the most thoughtless preparation of food deserving of a refund.
Slice of pepperoni was great. Came out quickly, nice thin crust. Jarritos in the glass bottle to compliment the pizza — can’t go wrong for a quick lunch. It’s not a fancy spot, buts it’s a good spot.
People were nice too.
Great pizza by the slice. Good prices and quick service. Indoor window seats are good to watch the crowds go by. Close to the Esplanade for a quick bite to eat.
They have a good pizza, but they need to step it up. People want fresh ingredients on their pizza. Don’t get me wrong, the crust/sauce/cheese are great, but I ordered a mushroom and spinach pizza…and the spinach was the frozen spinach you get in the frozen food aisle at the supermarket. I want spinach that’s fresh. Just buy a bag and put it on top when it comes out of the oven. I want to give them some business advice because if they kicked the quality up a notch this could be a great place. Take a look at how Florina’s on the hill does it. You could be that good with a little more effort.
A great hole in the wall that locals seem to flock towards. Its constantly busy at the time we went (shortly after noon rush). The sandwiches looked like what majority of people get but our group decided on the fam meal instead. Don't have high expectations of something fancy but more so homestyle simplicity. Service was good and friendly. There's not a lot of seating inside and you just order from the front cashier. Everything is freshly made on the spot also. Will definitely revisit if in the area again.
