Great, chaotic environment - small place with a small bar, not much seating and always a line out the door to get in. It’s been there a long time and both locals and tourists love it.
I waited in line outside for only about 15 minutes on a Monday night when it was 15 degrees. Be prepared! I got the single seat in the corner right by the end of the bar, but the server was on top of things and she was fast, friendly and attentive.
Nice menu, fair prices… at the end of it all the pizza was… good. High expectations… the sauce was good, cheese seemed fresh and the crust was above average. Toppings were generous- there was a ton of meat on the meat lovers pizza.
A good pizza, 4 out of 5.

Nice place. Great service despite how busy they were.
The food was sadly disappointing.
I don't like to write negative reviews, but I have to mention this place.
Once again, service was really good. The place was extremely busy and packed. Our server was very friendly and attentive despite how many people were there.
We ordered a Pollo Regina. It came in a relatively timely manner. The toppings were fresh and quality was good and could be tasted. Sadly, the crust was undercooked. We noticed the pizzas at the different tables were all inconsistent in how they arrived. Some appeared burnt. Some appeared half burnt. Some, like ours, looked fine on the outside. Ours was definitely undercooked. This, obviously, took away from the overall experience.
The place has a lot of hype. If you want to experience a Boston fixture, then you should check it out. However, it may be a gamble to get a good pizza.

The food is incredible, best pizza I’ve ever tried. It came out piping hot, and was an experience to eat. Cozy little place, you know you’re onto something special the minute you walk through the door.

Regina Pizzeria is hands down the best pizza I have had outside of New York City, and in my opinion it is one of the best pizza spots in all of Boston.

You can feel the history the second you walk in. There are two locations you can go to, but I definitely prefer this one because the vibe is just on another level. The exterior has that classic old Boston character, and the inside has a real old school feel with the wooden chairs and benches that make it feel authentic. Between the awards, the badges, and all the history on the walls, you can tell this place has earned its reputation.

I had the pepperoni pizza, and it was phenomenal from the very first bite. The fact that it is cooked in a brick oven makes a huge difference. The crust had that perfect texture with just the right amount of crisp on the outside while still being soft and chewy inside. The cheese, sauce, and oils all came together so well that my taste buds honestly woke up immediately. Everything about the pizza tasted rich, balanced, and full of flavor. The sauce had a great tang, the cheese was hot and perfectly melted, and the pepperoni brought that salty, slightly spicy bite that tied the whole thing together. It was the kind of pizza where every single slice tastes just as good as the first. I honestly wanted to order another pie right after finishing mine.

The service was decent, but definitely expect a wait because this place stays packed. Once you taste the pizza, it makes complete sense why people keep lining up for it. They also have a lot of options on the menu, so there is plenty to choose from.

This place has been around for over 100 years, and after eating here, it is easy to understand why. I will always come back to this pizzeria.

Food:
Regina Pizzeria delivered exactly the kind of pizza I was hoping for. The cheese pizza was the clearest test, and it worked because the basics were all there. The crust had a good crisp bite around the edges, the sauce had that classic tomato flavor, and the cheese browned nicely without turning the whole pie heavy. It tasted like old-school pizza done with confidence. The pepperoni was even better for me. The pepperoni added salt, oil, and a little crispness at the edges, but the slice still held together and stayed easy to eat. That is what made it satisfying instead of just greasy. The white pie was also strong in a completely different way. It had that richer, garlicky cheese pull, but the crust and bake kept it from feeling flat or too soft. The basil-topped pie brought a fresher side to the meal, with the tomato, cheese, char, and basil all working together in a way that felt simple but very complete. Nothing here felt overdone. It was just hot, classic pizza with good texture, good flavor, and enough variety across the pies to make the whole meal feel worth it.

Service:
Service was quick, straightforward, and easy. It is clearly a busy place, but everything moved well, and the food came out fresh without making the experience feel complicated.

Summary:
Easy 5/5. Regina feels like a Boston staple for a reason. The cheese, pepperoni, white pie, and basil pie all delivered, and it is the kind of pizza place that proves simple food still stands out when it is done right.
