Extremely busy place. Went there on Monday afternoon and there was a line up outside. Got table fairy quick.
I’m not a big fan of pizza but their pizzas are amazing. One of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Delicious. Fresh. Large portions.
I traveled around the 🌏 many times but I have had here the best pizza ever. The restaurant is in the North End of Boston in the Italian quarter.
They offer wide variety of Italian food. The pizza was quickly made despite the place was packed. Rich with toppings, the right thickness and crunchy crust. The bigger size pizza is enough for 3 adults.
Better to make a reservation however on Monday lunch time we were lucky to get in just with walking in. The price is right! I know it is common in US but this place would deserve real metal cutlery not plastic and real plate not paper.
This was on my list of things to do in Boston. We went on a Sunday night and waited about 20 minutes to get a table. The line moved quickly. I'd say the service is what you would expect from the typical Bostonian pizza joint: straightforward and quick. One of the slices in our pizza was pretty burned, so we let the waitress know and she promptly offered to correct the situation.
I loved the peperoni, not too spicy or intense. It had a mild sweet taste to it. The crust was also flavourful.
I'd recommend this place on your stop in Boston.
The good: best pizza we ever had. Daughter just returned from Italy and said this pizza was as good if not better than what she had over there from 2 different pizzerias. We had the Sausage Cacciatore and The Giambotta. The pizzas tasted like what you imagine a real pizza should taste like in your mind but for some reason other places never hit the mark. This pizza taste had everything to do with the pizza itself and not the atmosphere or anything extra. Cheese, toppings, crust, sauce, everything was like it should be in your mind for perfect pizza.
The Bad: service was not friendly at all. From trying to check in, to ordering, you name it. Maybe a different waitress would be better, but even the kitchen guy that brought our pizzas out was just not friendly when asked a question. I guess maybe having the best pizza this side of Italy makes you snobby? We were even nice and friendly, kind of trying to maybe pick them up if they were having a bad day but nope, didn't work. Best comparison I could make is if the Soup Nazi owned a pizza joint. So go to eat the best pizza ever, don't expect them to be happy you're there though, and enjoy & savor the taste and then don't go back but find friendlier places that appreciate you giving them your money. Despite the great pizza taste, a lack of common courtesy and lack of appreciation for guests, we will not be coming back.
The original location is the BEST PIZZA IN AMERICA! I have had almost all the top rated pizza places all over the USA. Regina pizza in the north end of Boston is the legit king of the pizza world. Expect a line. Worth the wait. They only make pizza. Who wants a salad anyway? I order a small because it gives you the crispiest slices. Sausage, cherry peppers and anchovies this time. Ask for it crispy. Or skip the line and order it to go. Enjoy! Side note: this review only applies to the original location. It has a pizza oven dating back to the late 1800s. That’s part of the magic.
