Village Pizza & Grill is a casual South Boston spot known for hand-tossed pizzas, specialty pies, calzones, burgers, wraps, and more Italian-American comfort food. They serve lunch and dinner daily with options for dine-in, takeout, and delivery, and are part of the local pizza scene with a fairly extensive menu.
I stopped in today after a long morning of work, completely drained and barely thinking straight from how hungry I was. The team here took one look at me, welcomed me warmly, and had my order in my hands in no time. The crispy chicken Caesar wrap was exactly what I needed - fresh, flavorful, and absolutely hit the spot.
What stood out even more was how kind and attentive the staff were. You can tell they care about their customers. It’s rare to find a place where the food and the people are both this good. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for turning my whole day around!
Food came cold, quoted me a 40 minute delivery time and it showed up an hour and 10 minute later. I paid over the phone and the delivery guy wouldn’t give me my food until he confirmed with the shop even though it said paid on my receipt. Foods great but it’s ran by a group of jerks
Got good pizza here a while back so decided to try takeout. Chicken italiano panini and wife got a chicken bacon ranch wrap. Hers was inedible. Chewy chicken. Fries looked and tasted like they were made three days ago. My panini was meh. Not awful. Maybe stick to pizza if you’re ordering here
1st time there today popped in for a slice = $5. (Like 1 1/2 slice). Person cleaning behind the counter told me to give him a minute. I waited for him to finish cleaning behind the grill. Then he told a young man to help me. The young man finished heating up the slice of the customer before me, and then took my order= cheese slice. We were the only 2 people there. 20 minutes for a cheese slice.
The slice from. Half way to the tip had soggy crust. It waa heated up half assed. Like warm but not warm. The crust was hard as a puck.
Never again.
